PBAT is a flexible polyester used in suitable compostable formulations, often blended with PLA, starch or other compatible materials to balance flexibility and strength. It supports film applications that require good elongation and toughness.

Select the resin blend for film strength, sealing and processing. PBAT is not necessarily bio-based. Compostability and agricultural soil biodegradability are separate requirements and must be established for the finished product.
